Of course, simplicity does not mean easy for people who lack willpower.
My experience of getting fat back then should be similar to that of most people. After the age of twenty-five, I was intemperate in eating and drinking. When I was at my highest weight, I soared nearly 30 kilograms, mainly on my stomach.
At first I don’t take weight gain seriously, but the various inconveniences caused by obesity and the unsightly image made me decide TO LOSE WEIGHT.
In the initial stage, my weight loss effort was to increase the amount of exercise, insist on swimming more than one thousand meters a day, and pay attention to starting to control the diet. But this can only reduce a few catty of meat, and then a little carelessly, the weight rises again.
This problem has troubled me for four or five years, until one day, I realized that I must quantify and segment my weight loss.
I bought a scale that can accurately display the weight to 0.1 kg. I set a goal for myself to lose at least 0.1 kg per day on average. If I can stick to it for 100 days, I can lose 10 kg.
The specific operation is to weigh several times in the morning, at noon and night, and record the weight change to the nearest 0.1 kg. Especially at dinner time. I will eat some bread, then weigh it on the scale, and if it exceeds the limit, I will stop eating immediately. Sometimes, before dinner, if I have overweight, I just skip dinner and skip lunch altogether.
My husband sneered at my seemingly perverted behaviour of constantly weighing weight, but I know that if you stick to it, there will be results. I will not give up on the correct course because of others’ disdain.
One more thing, don’t stay up late, go to bed early, adequate sleep is very sufficient for weight control.
I stopped eating at dinner and started to feel a little unnatural, but if I persisted, I felt a kind of pleasure and relaxation of abdominal fat burning.
After persisting for a period of time, I lost 12 kilograms in two months, and soon my weight and waist circumference returned to the level of 18 years old.
Afterwards, if the diet is not tempered, the weight will rebound. Then take this quantitative method of weight control again.
After I lost weight, some friends who hadn’t seen me in a few years, when I met again, exclaimed about my changes and asked me the secret of weight loss. When I introduced it to them, some laughed, and some shook their heads and said they couldn’t do it.

Whenever I hear people claiming to be a foodie on the one hand, and complaining about how difficult it is to lose weight on the other, I just laugh casually and listened instead of talking.
In my opinion, weight loss is purely a problem that can be solved by self-control. In today’s America, it has become a big market worth 60 billion US dollars per year, which is really absurd.
According to my method, even if 300 million Americans each buy a sixteen yuan scale, and a scale lasts for an average of five years, the money spent on weight loss each year is less than one billion dollars.
In fact, many problems in investment and life can be solved by this line of thinking: break down a seemingly complex and unsolvable big problem into many small problems that can be solved within one’s ability, and solve them one by one. Big win. Over time, it will happen naturally.
